Horse lessons is one of the many services provided here at Diamond C Stables. Diamond C gives lessons to all ages and at affordable prices. Types of lessons include beginners, western, barrel racing, reigning, trail riding, and Western Pleasure. The best part of taking lessons is that you do not have to own a horse to take a lesson. If you do not have a horse, we will provide one at no extra cost that we feel fits your level of riding.

Cheryl started riding as an adult, and refined her skills during the 7 years she spent working and riding at a boarding facility in New Hampshire. Her formal education includes attendance at the University of New Hampshire’s Thompson School of Applied Science Animal Science/ Equine Program. She has volunteered at the University’s Therapeutic Riding Program and was a Show Steward for the NH Special Olympics. Relocating to Texas & Diamond C Stables in 2004 to focus on her western riding, Cheryl emphasizes safe horse handling and control as the basis of a solid foundation for the rider to grow from. She believes that anyone with the desire can learn to ride and enjoy horses, and is eager to share her enthusiasm and love of riding.

Cheryl is an amazing instructor. When my daughter Caroline was working through some difficult issues with her riding Cheryl took extra time to help her. She shared her own stories with Caroline and even called us at home to check in. Her extra attention in addition to her gentle, but firm manner during her weekly lessons has made all the difference. I now have the pleasure of watching a confident 9 year old rider who feels in charge of her horse.
